mutual respect is a biiiiiggggg one, have it for every student until the possibility it may be broken. also not being pretentious or having an ego because you’re in a position of power is nice too, and a sense of humor is great

Do they ever just chat with you? Or is it all professional? I could always tell my students liked me based on the way they engaged with me
