Just got told I was denied a TA position because I forgot a comma in my resume.

Let me get this straight. Some universities won’t fire a geriatric faculty member who was named in the redacted files… But we could get denied a student job position because of lacking an Oxford comma in our resume… Tell me this isn’t a real situation plz

The oxford comma is an insane thing to get someone for. Some people just don’t use it and that’s normal. I was taught to not use one to preserve time, and I am student teaching currently

This is deadass real. She said I interviewed/came prepared well so I asked what I could do in the future to improve and she said that there were comma mistakes in my resume.
