My gf’s favorite flowers are daffodils but she also lets them die quickly when I get her some. Am I misinterpreting her telling me her favorite flower and her actually wanting flowers? I assume she doesn’t want to hurt my feelings by making me stop.

Aw that’s sweet. I mean, I place my flowers with water in a vase and it dies in like a week. But I still love receiving flowers.

wdym she lets them die quickly? there’s really not much to do to keep flowers alive, you put em in a vase with water and that’s it.

Flowers die, that’s just what they do. They are temporary. If you want to get her something less temporary see if you can get a hanging plant, those can last for months if you water them regularly

So, when I send my mom flowers for mother’s day, they seem to last for weeks. I assumed there was some sort of method people that like fresh flowers use to feed them or something. Idk anything about flowers. When I get my gf flowers they wither and die within days. I was wondering if she doesn’t like them and lets them die but keeps them because I got them.

you gotta let your mom let us in on her secrets because yah most die within a week. i mean sometimes bouquets come with a little packet of stuff you pour in the water but idk what else you can do. you def should not assume that your gf doesn’t appreciate the flowers.

My mom spent literally 20$ for me to pick flowers and make a bouquet, I watered them every day yet somehow they still died after a week. I loved the flowers they were beautiful

Yup! Even those packets dont work for me. Its sad but those flowers just wanna die asap 😭

I don’t think she doesn’t appreciate them. I think she doesn’t want them. For example, I appreciate a good brownie. Do I want a brownie right now? Well this is a bad example because yes I do but you get what I mean? I was wondering if she’s just humoring me because… love. You know? I guess I could just ask her but that would ruin the surprise. Meh. I’ll just ask.

bro if she didn’t want the flowers she wouldn’t tell you her favorite flower. if she didn’t want the flowers she’d throw them away

That’s fair. In any case, I’m going to get her something different the next time I’m inclined And will also lightly ask if she would prefer something other than flowers.
