If heteropessimism/fatalism mostly describes women’s disillusionment with men, then it’s not a universal straight experience, it’s a gendered one. Maybe call it femfatalism or amafemfatalism. The “hetero-” label hides the fact that it’s women doing the emotional labor. Although, I disagree with the narrative as another person said- this frustration shouldn’t really be gender specific and actually perpetuates implicit gender roles.
