I am a rape survivor myself and with my own story, someone reported me 3,000 miles away from my own state. And to be honest, she saved my life. This guy has also threatened my friend that he’s illegal and if ICE is involved, once he gets his green card, he will come after her. But I do wonder if that’s just a threat and not true. I know my detective who would help me in a second and is an advocate for survivors or domestic/sexual violence but I just don’t know.

If he’s illegal or undocumented, and ICE got involved after she reported him for rape, wouldn’t that just make it more likely that he gets deported and not get a green card, and thus be unable to come after her?

I don’t know how it works that’s why I’m seeking guidance and trying to figure out if it was just a threat
