I’m curious how common this is. Have you ever been suicidal and genuinely wanted to die? Have you considered different ways to do it?

In some communities it’s very common. All of my friends from a certain group went though it.

I’ve had suicidal thoughts and depression but never to the point where I was genuinely at risk of going through with it

Yes and no? Not to the point I’d ever do something myself, but wishing something bad would happen to me pain free and I’d be gone typa way

I’ve attempted twice. Accepting it and knowing I have the out, and no longer being afraid of it, has helped me get better.

Besides being a woman I don’t think i came from whatever groups ur talking ab but I still experienced it. No trauma just extreme anxiety

Anxiety is tough for everyone. My friend group is mainly queer and a few trans individuals. We’re so much more likely to experience depression and suicidal ideation. But that doesn’t mean your experiences aren’t worth talking about. Everyone’s experiences shape them. I really hope you’re in a better space now.

I’m not a woman but I’m an SA and bullying survivor and also autistic, and Strawberry Hair made me feel better when I was suicidal and didn’t eat for 4 days, and I genuinely care about them and wish them the best

I wish you the best as well. I’m so glad I was able to help you when you needed it. Remember, one step back and two steps forward. You are still moving. Life is hard but we’re doing it as best as we can.

This is not normal, but it is common. Nobody should be feeling that way and it means something is wrong, whether it is your brain or your environment. It’s common though, I’ve felt the same way and most often that’s the way I felt when I wasn’t in a panic mode, when I was in panic mode I was actively planning and searching for a way out

I’m glad meds helped ❤️ I think my issue was a hormonal imbalance because now I’m pregnant and feel so much better mentally (even though I have more reason to be anxious) I tried an ssri (Prozac/fluonxetine) and it just made me numb and unable to orgasm. I didn’t like it and now I have a fear of medicine??? I won’t even take advil..

That’s definitely still valid, I feel like that’s more common than being at risk of actually going through with it. I’ve only ever tried anything (very weak attempts) when I was drunk
