I know 99% of posts like this are rage bait & I swear to God I’m asking in good faith. I’m not a sexist and I legitimately want your alls opinion. Women are attending & graduating higher education significantly more than men. Why do you think this is?

Women usually think deeper in terms of an education path. Whether it be to seek the life she’s always wanted, the money, or the knowledge. And plus to society a highly educated woman looks good to potential suitors that she would also want. Like very “high brow” educated men love intelligent women. They tell women that they should be smart in order to find good partners. Along with certain career paths requiring the higher education anyway

two reasons (of many) trades and blue-collar labor appeal less to women due to the nature of the work + male-dominated workplace culture ideological feedback loop— men lean conservative, higher ed leans liberal ->

There a couple different reasons. 1) We are socialized to be better in classrooms. Girls are taught to listen and learn in a way that boys aren’t. If a girl acted out she’d get shunned by her peers and bullied. If a boy did so, especially in younger grades, he’d get praised. 2) Women haven’t had as much opportunities to get higher ed as men have. It wasn’t that long ago that women were banned for higher education.

it doesn't "come easier" that's a patriarchal myth. they're conditioned earlier to be obedient, quiet and small, which is the ideal student in our current academic environment

Tell that to working with women with a disability. The guys I work with are far more chill than my ladies. Yeah they color and everything when they get bored but they’re my more difficult group to calm down when they undergo stress

3) Blue collar jobs are often extremely sexist and have an extremely bad reputation amongst most people. Whether or not that should be the case, it is.

female vs male socialization 100% differs, and not *all* boys are more energetic than *all* girls. but testosterone spikes risk-taking, possibly aggressive, & "rambunctious" behaviors
