I mean yeah it’s unfortunately part of life for both men and women. I’d offer your own number so it eliminates some of that fear though.

I agree, if a guy came up to me and was like “hey I thought you were cute here’s my number” I wouldn’t feel the normal anxiety or the expectation that often comes with interactions like that, but I also find confidence and straight forward ness attractive.
