Well I don’t want to not exist but it would have been nice for the genetics to have been aborted away like how natural selection used to work on ancient humans (the ones who couldn’t sweat or had a useless tail died off)

I just think if you and your partner are physically incapable of walking or moving your arms because it could hospitalize you and you decide to have a kid you will 100% pass it onto its just selfish

Im not offended nor am I saying thats the definition. With posts like this in the past, people USED that word as an insult or to make people out to be horrible for having thoughts that align with it

well yes, but the reason that word has a bad past is because this line of thinking of “some genes are inferior to others” has led to terrible things happening in history. that is why some are incredibly cautious about the slippery slope of eugenics and understandably so

Op is saying they AREN’T saying they’re in support of those terrible things in history people would like to accuse them of for making this post. Saying intentionally having a kid who will have a horrible quality of life is bad is NOT them saying people should be forcibly sterilized or not allowed to reproduce etc.

It definitely is. I see the post more as a general thought but not something that should ever be targeted at an individual, especially not like that. Whether you have kids is YOUR choice and your right not anyone else’s!
