This is such a fake issue that ppl will bring up to bring down trans women. Plus as someone with pcos its nice to talk to trans chicks about how the facial hair thing sucks, they have a lot of tips and tricks for it

i understand where op was coming from but all she’s doing is alienating trans women by saying they can’t relate to us tbh. like yes they will never have those exact issues but i don’t think i have ever seen anyone claim to?? even the example she brought up, the trans woman was just relating to one symptom of pcos which is valid.

If people stopped judging ALL women on whether they meet some beauty standard or physical trait, it would benefit cis and trans women. It’s so odd to pit them against each other. The real villain of the story is people out there who can’t simply see a woman’s face, arms, etc with more hair than average and go on with their lives without judging them. Women with PCOS and trans women want the same thing in that scenario.

Yeah, this could’ve been a really interesting discussion. OP‘s comment said that the friend was not claiming to have PCOS, but was complaining about a shared problem (having more hair than expected as a woman, basically).

Some ppl r so sensitive like go touch grass and interact with real trans ppl. It pisses me off when ppl see shit online n then act like it’s the standard bc they saw one or two ppl saying or doing something. Like how do ppl still not know that the internet isn’t real life. Also this topic was such an unnecessary non issue. I fr don’t get what the OP was so pissed abt since the girl never even claimed to have PCOS

Facial hair cause of PCOS and facial hair because biologically you grow it is not the same, I think that’s all OP was trying to say. Not saying tips and tricks can’t be exchanged, they can but saying you have hair because PCOS isn’t true it’s false it’s cause of something else.

I mean I understand where they are coming from since those are biological issues based I’m anatomy. And symptoms are not the same as the physical thing. Anyone can have those kinds of symptoms transgender or not bc cramping is not solely a woman thing. I think there’s just nuance to it. Ofc it’s not a common issue spread around but it does happen otherwise ppl wouldn’t need to speak on it

😬 I must have missed that part. That makes it even more confusing to bring up in here

Yeah its never ppl who actually know any trans women who say stuff like this. Its always evidence that they heard online from someone else whos a terf or smth

And im saying that trans women dont go around in real life talking about how they struggle from ovarian problems like OP is claiming, esp cuz it seems like OP never actually talked to the chick they were talking about

What lol there was a trans woman TikTok creator who talked about having menstrual cycle cramps. Not making this up you can search them up because they were stitched several times, like people aren’t saying because it’s not happening it clearly is, you may not have seen it but I have. It’s clearly not as niche issue if people are speaking on it.

One tiktok creator saying something dumb is not a reason to go around saying its a real problem

One is enough; a feather broke the camels back, a snowflake starts avalanche, a voice starts the discourse for change. And if one feels this way there maybe others who feel that way as well but know well and good enough to not vocalize it. It’s not a one off situation, if you don’t want research it that’s your choice. But don’t say it’s one, it’s not. No one is trying to bring them down, just stating facts.

i understand this point completely, but i think the way op phrased things is really iffy. like she said things like i hate when trans women say they can relate to women’s issues and that growing hair “because you are a man” is different from pcos… both implying that trans women aren’t real women. of course trans women can’t have a menstrual cycle because they don’t have ovaries but the conversation in the og post was veering into terf territory.

if this isn’t a problem the vast majority of the time, then bringing it up as if it is is really just perpetuating cis/trans women divide.

Maybe they phrased it wrong, I don’t know it doesn’t look wrong to me, I will admit my ability to discern and tell is not the best so it could’ve been. But also in their responses they’ve been referring to them as women not men. So I don’t know I’m just saying there’s a difference.

it just feels like if this isn’t a widespread problem, the only reason it’s being brought up is to further differentiate trans women and/or make them look bad? bc it’s making it seem like a bigger issue than it actually is. sort of like when men say “i hate when women don’t date under 6’0” like okay, valid, some women on tiktok said they have that preference. but also saying that makes it seem like it’s a huge issue when really the majority of women aren’t that picky.

Precisely. It isnt a big deal only like three trans women have said anything about it, its just one of the terfy talking points used to downplay the legitimacy of trans women. Maybe OP doesnt know that but theyre just falling for classic transmisogynistic rhetoric

I mean I don’t think it’s a made up issue. Otherwise it can’t be brought up. Like I said things can’t be discussed unless it’s become one, you’d have a reason to feel some way about things. Sure their wording can be better but simply based on the initial post about PCOS and endo they are correct. I’m sure they initially meant no harm. But 2 things can be true at once
