What it feels like as a millennial watching Gen Z vote for Trump in droves, use words like "body count," and adopt anti-pornography stances. The kids are fucking "cooked."

Wait why is anti porn bad? The industry exploits women

I think it’s a very good thing if people stop watching porn and start being more selective with who they hook up with. It’s not anti-woman for women to limit others’ access to their bodies and pornography literally rewires your brain in an unhealthy, unnatural way. (Which I highly encourage you research yourself) It takes away from intimacy and real relationships and reduces it to just the physical components.

In today’s environment the largest benefactors of OF/bop culture are creepy incel older men who know they can get whatever they want out of impressionable young women that just turned 18 with some money

Porn addiction is a VERY real problem especially impacting young men and promotes gooner/bop cultures among underage men and women making them VERY vulnerable to grooming.

Hey babe I appreciate your opinion but maybe let’s not lump entire generations together as a conscious being. There are both Gen Z and Millennials who voted for trump and both Gen Z and Millennials that voted for Kamala. As a single Gen z woman, I have met many Millenials who believe they get to have an opinion about my body and are extremely conservative or against topics such as sex, porn, the lgbtq+ community, etc. Frankly the entire country is cooked not just a singular generation.

A millennial saying people are cooked is hilarious.

it does, but their “solutions” are to just bind up women and erase any freedoms we have

I think it’s because we arn’t addressing the actual underlying concern of exploitation. The only time this argument has finally come up, is when women have started cutting out the middle men and doing OF for themselves. Porn communities are actually kinda healthy and give people environments to explore their kinks and learn in safe environments. Yak sex advice is basically partially a porn community, it encourages people to have open conversations about sex. Important not to silence exploration.

Porn isn’t limited to just the filmed studio stuff, it’s also the amateur solo/couple stuff, smut books, and nsfw artwork

And frankly that’s disgusting if you are trying to imply that it’s wrong for women to not want to just hook up randomly.

How is it erasing freedom to disagree to say that porn is bad for you?

Talking about sex is one think, but making porn is another. Idk about others but I don’t care if it’s OF or any other porn site or the financial system behind it, I don’t think it’s healthy or good that people are putting their bodies on their internet for people to masturbate to. It’s taking advantage of lonely people who need some sort of connection and offering it to them in literally the worst most unfulfilling way possible and then charging them for it or manipulating them into donating.

I think that’s an entirely different side of the coin for people who are unable to view/consume porn in a healthy way. The model is basically the same as a liquor store, and society is fine with people drinking. Think we need better resources so that people know the dangers of consuming social media, and can find healthy ways to regulate their consumption. Not vote to turn it off for all of society just because it’s not something that’s healthy for them. Otherwise we’re back at prohibition.
