I do think Sabrina and Sydney largely cater to men and I find it kinda cringe and unnecessary but no I don’t think they’re setting us back 100 years. I enjoy Sydney’s movies and Sabrina’s music. The way they market doesn’t take away from the fact that they’re both talented.

Sabrina and Sydney and living their lives and expressing their sexuality on their own terms. I can’t see anything more feminist than that. Let Sabrina be horny and fun. Doesn’t mean it’s automatically for the male gaze.

Ppl want to be sex positive until stuff like this happens and ppl are making profit off of the ppl that sexualize them against their own will. Especially with Sabrina her whole image is sexual satire. The second image of the album is a dog. It’s meant to image that a man’s best friend is his dog and yet treat women like dogs that obey their every command like dogs. It’s meant to be ironic. As for Sydney idc that much it’s soap? At least she’s getting men to finally wash their ass

Genuinely insane putting rollbacks in women’s rights on women musicians and influencers and not the people actually rolling back our rights

i don’t think being sexual means you’re catering to men. women can enjoy being sexual for their own sake. sabrina carpenter does not cater her music to men.

it’s fine to be sexually conservative or not that into that kinda stuff but to try to shame women for being sexually expressive is what’s actually setting women back

They’re referring to Sabrina’s public image not her music (her recent album cover, the way she acts on stage, etc)

I guess for me is idc what other women do as long as it isn’t affecting the majority of us in a negative way. They’re just making money and making music. So it doesn’t really seem like a big issue or setting us back

abortion was considered a constitutional right in the U.S. until 2022, bc of the supreme court decision in Roe v. Wade. the ruling recognized a woman’s right to an abortion as part of the constitutional right to privacy under the 14th amendment

Imagining actually believing that the entire opposite gender doesn’t “wash their ass” and further believing that a single music artist is single-handedly causing an entire gender to start washing their ass This is insanity.
