I don’t really see why ppl see this as such a big deal. It feels really inappropriate to just be like “you’re so hot” so I just say cute and do it in a kind way to not make ppl as uncomfortable as hot makes some ppl. Plus hot is a lot more subjective than cute. Many women have called me cute but only two women have ever called me hot and I’m the wlw hunchback of notre dame

I was typing the rest but I was going to say that what makes you hot varies from person to person. I am in no way conventionally attractive but I found a few women who make me feel like a hot queen. I think cute soft, kind, naive guys are so hot. But my best friend likes witty sarcasm and dark humor and finds it very hot. I hate this shit and it makes my vagina clam shut

Yeah, it would feel a little creepy or tacky to tell a guy he’s hot, even if I think he is. Compliments that could imply the person turns you on (even a mild one like “hot”) are not generally not as appropriate to come right out and say.

Compliments a compliment. It doesn’t necessarily mean they’re into you but it could, at the very least it means they think someone should be into you
