Honestly, why does it sometimes legitimately feel like women hate men? Like was talking to a friend of my friend, and she was talking about a book club, and I joked I should join and she was like nahh, all we do is bash men. Like wtf?

Why can’t a group of girls be like fuck the patriarchy and talk about the awful effects it has/shitty & creepy things that men do to them? Thats usually what women mean when they say that. women are treated badly by men day to day. the reality is that most men aren’t harmless. maybe in a sense of extreme crime or things like that, but to women, men are constantly hurting us through causal comments and relational dynamics. that being said, women want to feel closer with one another and understand each others casual suffering in this system, so we “bash men”. luckily for you, you can join. it’s not about men in general, often it’s about specific men like the others bfs who hurt them

Yeah man a lot of guys our age say kind of really creepy or mysognostic things a lot of the time like have you ever been to a guys dorm they make horrifying comments, I was raised by women so I learned how to not be hateful like that but if you want people to feel safe around you don’t make comments don’t be creepy just be kind

I got no problem hating on the patriarchy and the systems of oppression that exist to keep people oppressed and docile, that said it’s a system engineered by the global elite and billionaire class. I would define the majority of men as Douglas Adam’s put it “mostly harmless.” Lately, It feels more like the discussions I hear about are there to construct a negative male archetype than deconstruct the problematic behaviors behind it, just trying to understand the nature of why?
