The thing with science is that if you have a mind of your own, you understand it’s not about “believing”. It’s about understanding.

Everyone believes in some science and not others. Often at the same time. For e.g. there are people who believe if you didn’t take the vaccines, you’re evil but if you didn’t take the boosters, then you’re fine. Both came from the same science.

not believing in evolution *is* a denial of science and a huge red flag. a refusal to believe things that have been proven is dangerous and not a trait I want someone in my life to have

Has the theory of evolution been proven?

How have they been proven? The same way you believe what scientist tell is just like believing the bible. You didn’t do the research yourself there for it’s all based on belief.

There are dozens of journals with evidence of evolution. Our bodies are evidence. Our tail bones from when we used to have tails. Wisdom teeth that dont fit in our mouth. Even our body hair is here because of evolution

Believing in science, which can be proven, is not like believing in the Bible, which is not

upvote 19 downvote

Anonymous replying to -> #5 8w

But once again how do YOU specifically know this research is true

upvote -10 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #6 8w

Because I can read the scientific journals with all of the research of how they came to that conclusion, why they did, and what it means going forward

Because its been proven over and over. Im a stem major too. I HAVE studied this.

upvote 22 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #5 8w

Im a stem major too but science is flawed with probability. There are too many unanswered question that we must rely on belief for. We never lived in past time so we can never truly know. We just hope the science WE CREATED tells us we’re right.

upvote -9 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #6 8w

But that doesn’t mean that science has no proof, like the Bible does. Science is flawed but that doesn’t mean we forget it exists. We understand there is a possibility to be proven wrong in the future but, until that day we believe in the science we can currently prove

upvote 12 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #6 8w

Youre right. And science CAN be wrong. But evolution has been proven with so many different pieces if evidence its insane to not believe it

I’m curious what the person believed instead of evolution tbh st made you run from them

upvote -9 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #5 8w

I get that. I’m just saying it’s not fait to blame someone for not believing in this sort of science when it goes against a cord belief of their religion. They’re raise from the ground up to believe this and they know nothing differently. Im not saying there is a right or wrong here cause i won’t push beliefs. But truthfully no one side is 100% right

I don’t think that’s fair either though. If someone came up to me and told me the earth was flat because “god said so” I am going to say that’s wrong because it is. Plenty of people believe in both and denying science because it contradicts religion is only holding us back from true progress. While I don’t think it’s fair to be mocking and rude, pointing out they are, in fact, proven to be wrong isn’t evil. I wouldn’t associate with someone who doesn’t believe in science because of religion,but-

Exactly! Science is not a refusal of religion. In fact, theology says that revelations works over long time. Scientific knowledge and discovery is literally just God allowing humanity to understand His creation little by little.
