I want to have kids. But I don’t want to have to wash a man’s dirty underwear as part of the deal while kinda wondering if he’s secretly part of the 62 million. So me and my friends are building a matriarchal home together.

I didn’t obsess over the idea of motherhood much, like, for example, I didn’t pretend play with my baby dolls as a kid. Motherhood seemed on one extreme inevitable—billions of women have been mothers before, billions of mothers will come after me—and on the other end, not for me. I still struggle to shake the uncertainty and doubts I have, like would I be a good mother, is birth something I can handle, what if I fail, etc. But I’m in a healthy relationship w tloml, and he’s my reason im excited!
