Do women not realize how shallow they seem when they ask for a “provider” or boat rides on dating sites? Or is it just a joke that isn’t really funny or even fully a joke

I find it cringey. The boat rides thing is extra shallow. For the provider thing, she could be a straight up gold digger, but she could also be trying to convey “he needs to have a job and be willing to invest in a relationship” while not being very emotionally intelligent.

I see so many guys that make their whole thing about how they have a boat (that’s their parents boat half the time) and I’ve always thought it was dumb, i do not care

I don’t agree with it, because I don’t agree with that mentality, but I think it’s good they are saying what they are looking for.

personally when i say i want a provider i want someone who provides not only monetarily yk. like providing support whether it is financially or thru acts of service i want someone who ik will be there for me no matter what. but i dont expect them to pay for everything i just want a man who has the mindset of willing to do anything and everything for me

a man should be a provider for a woman, what’s the issue w that? men are providers, if you can’t provide for your gf/wife, don’t date them. i think the boat shit is like a joke but being a provider is what every man should aspire to be for their gf/wife/family

It’s not what every man is going to do nor what every woman wants. However there are plenty that do want that, so find each other lol.

yeah and there’s no issue w a woman saying what she wants upfront, if u don’t like it move along and don’t complain cuz if ur getting annoyed like its wasted energy

That’s reasonable, but I feel like that’s just standard for a partnership, maybe I’m just old fashioned though
