They kill innocent people and disrupt families. Is there something to like?

So all the countries in South America and Central America that also deport people and break up families are equally as evil as ice right? Or it’s just ICE in America that’s a problem

My mom used to work for them and the stories she brought home weren’t pretty, like, maybe I’m not hungry for dinner anymore not pretty. There’s a lot of immigrants and some of them do some fucked up things and need to be deported, human trafficking, rape, murder, all of the above involving children, its an individual basis, not an entire minority that does these things, but not everyone who works for ice does the masked bullshit that this horrible administration is (partially) responsible for.

Everyone who works for ice is complicit in the “masked bullshit” and a system that sends people to concentration camps. Idrc if your mom isn’t personally beating and raping immigrants tbh, she’s facilitating fascism by contributing to the functioning of a rogue agency that breaks domestic and international law on a daily basis

That’s why I said the administration is partially responsible, also she works for uscis, not ice, reread the first sentence

Complicit is the word here. Not responsible but complicit

I read just fine, the first sentence says “them,” in reference to a comment and pst about ice. And my point still stands. The Gestapo who filled out paperwork were still part of the Gestapo.

I’m not arguing that the people who didn’t leave when asked to do complete bullshit aren’t complicit

I’m not completely in the loop, but did it happen in every state? Each state has their own office

Ice?

Fair enough, but that also directly contradicts your defense of people who still work for ice at the end of your comment. There’s other agencies where the “not everyone” thing can hold up but ICE specifically is a de facto secret police force. Idc what capacity it is, if you work for them you are complicit in human rights violations

It is important to make sure the US has a correct census, we can’t let people go around on accounted for that leads to a slurry of other problems. It’s just it’s not being gone about the right way at all

Just had to check my facts real quick, there is significant disparity in the amount of ERO plainclothes raids on non-criminal targets in different states, my mom was the field office director for USCIS (they grant (citizenship) for my state and in those positions, where you report to people who report to people who report to the president you can only dig your heels in so much before chain of command brings in someone who won’t.

Look I really don’t like what some ice agents are doing in some states, I also really don’t like generalizations, but at the end of the day I do like arguing, so we can keep going back and forth like this, but I probably won’t feel bad or learn something here

Sorry, *not just ICE agents, there’s definitely more people who are happy to admin situations that enable horrible things in certain states, I meant some people within ICE

The census is important, but good data doesn’t require unlawful removal of people with visas or a political stance the administration doesn’t agree with. On the other hand, HSI has a specific job that DEA and FBI don’t. Transnational crime requires specific training and authority, and leverage for informants can center around immigration law.
