Should I compliment based off of looks, like “you’re really attractive” or something they chose, like “I like your shirt” or “your hair is done really nice”

Something chosen if you want to start up a conversation. If it’s a date then calling someone pretty is fine. But for a stranger it’s best to give compliments based on things you’ve chosen. I made a bunch of friends by just saying how much I loved someone’s shirt in the college cafeteria.

Trust me I get it. I see a pretty girl and it feels like my brain melts. It’s best to just treat women like people. We’ve had enough people being creeps toward us. A genuine compliment about something within our control is something we think about way more than “oh you are pretty”.
