Just saw three “hypothetical utopia” posts about “getting rid of” all men in the world and all of the comments were women being excited and supportive of it. Is this seriously what women want? I feel like I am hated for existing as a man no matter...

Yeah no that’s not what women want. I don’t know where you saw those posts but that’s not what the average woman wants.

it’s said jokingly. like it’s not that serious but women do sometimes fantasize about a world where we could wear whatever we want and not be attacked and embrace our interests without being belittled. and take walks at night.

…how good of a person I am. I feel like I constantly have to prove to women that I’m not “one of those men” and I just feel like my existence is literally hated with a passion by half the population.

I think women phrase it as “a world without men” when they really mean a world with safety from men. Like it’s not that they want all men to die or anything, maybe some crazy people do, but what they really mean is that they want a world where they can walk outside in a mini skirt and not have creepy men all over them

Originally it honestly was to try and understand how women think a bit better but after seeing posts like this I think I’ve seen enough

I do. My best friend is a woman and I have no problem talking to women either but I just feel like the majority of women I’ve seen on social media and conversations I’ve overheard in person talk about men like they’re dogs instead of people. It’s really weird and discouraging as a romantic tbh

Listen there’s a lot of things in life that makes people upset. I understand why this is one of them, I do. But just as women should not judge all men for the actions of some, you cannot judge all woman for the words of a few. If anything this is a learning moment.

You only hear parts of conversations in person. I have conversations with my friends about being harassed. And if you heard me mentioning that you might say that I also hate men. I don’t. You can’t judge on half heard conversations.

I mean I understand all this and I understand there are horrible men that exist, trust me I’ve met them and good men have the sense to stay away from them too but using words that lump in the good with the bad makes me feel like the good don’t aren’t seen or acknowledged you know. I’m not asking for compliments or a pat on the back, just to not be lumped in with the evil of the few.

The internet is where irrational thoughts and feelings gather to fester. The real world and internet commentary are very far removed from one another. I had to delete ifunny because I started believing the men I met IRL only ever saw me as an object. It’s easy to feel discouraged, but remember that you’re seeing only the worst parts of people you will probably never even meet.
