Do I get my uterus removed? These periods get worse and worse every month and it feels like my insides are actually getting shredded and im sobbing. Is the procedure gonna be like hella painful to recover from?

Nah ma’am, you seriously need to see an OBGYN if you’re considering a hysterectomy. Plus depending on state sometimes you can’t get the procedure done without your husband signing off or having children already. Crazy

Talk to your gynecology about remedies

I had awful painful periods. It felt like my insides were being ripped out. I am on Bc for that reason. I now have periods every three months and it’s barely more than an ache. Trust me there’s lest drastic actions.

You could have PCOS, definitely talk to your OBGYN

You could talk about getting an ovary removed. But doctors are gonna say no to all of that bc they want women to have kids esp if you’re young they think you’re making a mistake.

i have endometriosis that’s caused adhesions on my intestines & reproductives organs as well as a cyst on my right ovary. i was prescribed norethindrone (a kind of birth control pill) for it & i haven’t had a period or any pain in MONTHS, & the cyst has been slowly decreasing in size. highly recommend seeing an OBGYN bc there are must less drastic treatment options. it’s only if/when those treatment options don’t work & it’s affecting ur daily life that u should consider a hysterectomy

Like them asking weird shit about bfs and dating. And like one of my friends couldn't get her iud because her bf complained and the OBGYN agreed. Like idk It just scares me a little. And getting told about a pap smear. Absolutely terrifying and I dont want

They’re supposed to ask about dating and your sex life to know if they need to proceed with std testing. But some states do make men sign off. But a hysterectomy is a bit of a stretch when all it is painful period bleeding. They can always prescribe something or offer you birth control. It’s best to see a gyno yearly. And paps are just to check for cervical cancers it’s not too bad

I know i know. I need to calm down and see a gyno. Mid breakdown while my body tries to kill itself is making me think drastically

I actually went through what you are experiencing and mine figured it was my estrogen levels. So I’m on a bc pill with little to no estrogen to balance my hormone self made estrogen balance with the pill

I don’t know. But I’d definitely speak to one. If you feel something is up they can do a few tests to see what the issue can be. It’s usually just urine or blood testing

I know it’s hard. Try either making your way to a shower and just sit for the heat or get a medication to put you to sleep. Staying calm is the most important thing right now.

Exactly! Just try and relax. I have a bunch of tips and tricks if you’d like to hear them. I dealt with periods similar to what you are describing for about… 6 years until I found a good BC

my mom had to get a complete hysterectomy for her endo & cysts when i was in middle school bc birth control wasn’t working for her, pain medications weren’t working for here, nothing was helping & it was affecting her ability to work, take care of my sister & i, & even do simple things like walk downstairs for a snack. a hysterectomy should be an extremely last resort bc it’s such a major surgery & it leaves lasting side effects on ur body
