i genuinely haven’t seen anyone in real life talk about caring about body count, but the thing with men caring more boils down to a bunch of archaic patriarchal norms. historically men have sought to control women’s sexuality to ensure that their child was actually theirs, to ensure an heir to their property. that bled into cultural standards. the sexual double standard has always existed. harsher standards for women’s sexuality. it’s tied into purity culture and sexism quite frankly.
