For the very last time no it would not work. It would cause a lot of problems. What should be done is we should make it so there aren’t empty positions. Companies create ads for jobs that don’t exist in order to make it look like they are growing. That should be made illegal so we aren’t applying to fake positions. And bots that apply for jobs should be illegal too. That would help solve some of our issues.
I do agree with you that ghost jobs are a major problem. Didn’t know about the bots thing. But I’m not surprised. But I guess it’s just that it’s so hard for me and others to find work. And I feel that companies are a major part of the problem and need to be held to account.
This ^^ I know I’ve heard of something about having open positions being beneficial for companies somehow, but that doesn’t mean they actually have to fill the position. They just have to advertise it. There are thousands of ghost jobs out there so you’re just sending your resume into the void when you apply
The reason it’s hard to find work is because of the ghost jobs! Like that’s the whole thing I’m trying to say. Compensating people for applying would make a company go broke, especially small companies and startups. I know getting a job is really fucking hard right now but this is not the answer. And it would never pass anyways.
