It’s not that I can’t form a sentence without it, but rather like a recoil when I choose to not use it. I end throwing the whole sentence away, because bro means something when I say it to my friends that isn’t necessary captured by other words like hey. The only words I can think of that convey something similar are dude and “girl”, but I don’t think I can use girl either.

Most of my friends are trans women so i always either avoid it or ask. Plus "giirrlll" fulfills the same purpose as "brooo"
