get more specific. you think he’s handsome, sure. but what makes him handsome? is his jawline rugged, are his eyes big? soft? stunning? is his hair soft? are his eyelashes long? when i’m complementing my partner i don’t try to search for compliments, i find that feels difficult and comes out clunky. i tell them facts that i know about them or observations whenever they pop into my head. things that seem really obvious to me.
