trans girl with a question for experts, what is your general skincare routine? I have been looking for answers and the best one I’ve found so far is: sunscreen, cleanser, moisturizer

i keep mine very basic bc i’m lazy lol, essentially it’s (in this order) cleanser, acne serum and/or pimple patches if needed, then moisturizer (the one i use in the mornings has SPF). if im taking makeup off at the end of the day, imo the easiest way to do it is to double cleanse using an oil cleanser (i use clinique take the day off cleansing balm) and then a water cleanser (i use cetaphil for dry to normal skin), and then do the rest of my routine as normal. hope this helps :)

honestly, do research before getting any products. what are u “problem” areas. black heads? bacterial acne? then find what helps best with that. don’t use tiktok or ig they are just trying to get u to buy products. or if u have access get urself to a dermatologist n see what they recommend. a good cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen (apply in that order) is pretty much all u really NEED 🩷

Myb if this sounds ignorant but what does being trans have to do with skincare? Isn’t skincare just skincare regardless of genitalia

It really depends on the type of skin you have, I have textured and dry skin so I do skincare based around that. if you want I can help you piece something of a skincare routine together for your specific skin type! I just love girlhood 😪🫶

I have rosacea so I have some prescribed things mixed in but my favorite go to products are: CLN cleanser, epicuren daily antioxidant moisturizer, elta MD sunscreen, and I really like byoma products at target if you are looking for a serum for something specific

This is good info, it should be in that order for every day?

yes. some people have a nighttime routine aswell which is usually different products but its not that serious imo. if ur skin is more oily u can wash morning and night but if its its dry i recommend washing just at night. sunscreen every morning still. don’t need sunscreen at night since its dark lol but definitely every single morning
