I need you and ask men to stop lying. Everyone tells me It’s not the weight, it’s confidence. I need someone to tell me the truth, do women just don’t like or date fat guys? Please tell me the truth so I can turn off the lights.

As a girl who isn’t super skinny but is super health conscious, I care more about lifestyle, not body type. I want someone who wants to be active and dedicated to health with me

Some women like bigger guys, some don't. However, almost everyone likes confidence

It’s the confidence part mostly. Plenty of women like bigger guys or don’t even really care what you look like so long as you have the correct vibes. I mean, I dated a guy that looked like David Cross because he was really smart and sure of himself. At the time I found him hot.

I’m was born without it. I don’t know how. I just hate myself so much every day. It’s such a vague trait. I don’t need to love me, I want to love someone else. I’m just so tired, and the validity needs to come from someone else.

Confidence is, you mean? Idk it might be easier to gain confidence than to lose weight, depending on your life

They don’t exist in my universe apparently or if they do they are bigger than me. Which is not being just meant, but I can’t carry someone else’s weight issues when I want to hurt myself over mine everyday.

Wait so you want someone who acknowledges the struggles you have with weight but you don’t do the same for them? You HAVE to be bigger than them?

Don’t. I cannot help what I’m attracted too. I am aware of the hypocrisy and I wish I felt different, but all my life I was told being fat was the worst thing someone could be. I have tried therapy to get out of this mindset. I can’t. I’ve lost 70 fucking pounds and I still hate my body when I look in the mirror. I cannot date someone bigger because I would be a cancer to them, not because I don’t want to.

It sounds like you shouldn’t be dating at all. You aren’t happy in yourself and you shouldn’t be with anyone like this. You would probably be bad towards anyone, taking how you feel on others. Go get therapy please. That’s the only way you can have a healthy relationship.

I have tried therapy it won’t fix my body issues, I was kicked out of a group for a facility for eating disorders for talking negatively on the concept of body positivity. I’m looking at other therapies but the only ones I can find are over the phone and not in person.

It sounds to me quite honestly like you don’t want to change at all. You claim it won’t fix your body issues and you’ve lost weight but that’s not enough. You seem to genuinely hate yourself. You should not be dating, you should be finding self love.

If you have any suggestion on therapists I’m listening.

There isn’t much a therapist can do unless you want to change your mind about yourself. There isn’t a magic word or exercise that will suddenly shift your world view. If you’re determined to see yourself as unattractive, no one can change your mind but you. That’s the whole point of body positivity. To embrace yourself bit by bit so the negativity and self loathing doesn’t keep you mired as you try to improve. See it less as glorifying and more like keeping the bad at bay so you can work.

That makes a lot more sense than what was being presented to me but I’m sure binary thinking and stubbornness did not help.
