Some people’s first thoughts are sex and others aren’t. If you have a genuine interest then it’s normal for that to not be on your mind at first

For some people genuine connection is the main focus, not prioritizing sex even if it eventually leads to it. Other people mainly care about the sexual attraction. But if she can’t imagine a connection at all without also imagining sex that sounds more like lust than a crush.

sexual attraction is a spectrum and so is how highly you prioritize sexual things. if that’s not your first thought, that doesn’t mean you don’t like the person. i think a lot of people conflate sexual attraction with romantic interest. it’s important to recognize that these are distinct and can easily exist without each other.
