It seems like older people care more about it than younger

I would consider myself a very social person but I NEVER make eye contact. Look past them, at their head, look into the distance, etc. Throw in an occasional stare into their eye when they’re speaking though. If you sound confident enough, no one will ever notice.

Eye contact is so awkward in professional settings, but idk what else to do with my eyes. The more I think about my eye movements, the more awkward it gets 😅 In romantic relationships though, I love eye contact

depends on the person but I'd be good as long as someone I was talking to looked at me two or three times in a convo, any less than that and I might feel like they're disinterested
