it’s not really something to believe in if that helps. astrology is mostly the study of the movement of celestial bodies and tying it together with pattern recognition. a simple example would be how sunsets look different than sunrises and based on its daily pattern, we can infer roughly what time of day it is. an astrology example (one that really solidified the validity of astrology for me) would be the fact that pluto is in aquarius right now. right now, during a lot of upheaval around the
world. the last time pluto was in aquarius, there was the american revolution, french revolution, haitian revolution, and the industrial revolution was getting started. based on patterns, we can infer that in the coming years, we can expect a revolution of some sort. and current events are definitely confirming that. dates for pluto in aquarius is 11/19/2024 - 03/08/2043 btw
another criticism astrology gets is that people don’t believe celestial bodies can have a direct affect on us. something that opened my mind to that was someone pointing out that the moon controls the tides of our oceans. considering we’re 75% water, it kinda makes you wonder how the moon would the “tides” within us. now, idk the science behind any of that so i understand if this part sounds pretty woo woo lmao 😅
