I mean I didn’t but it’s weird to me that people can just date anyone. Like doesn’t there need to be connection and trust for you? If anyone can serve in place then why is anything special? Even as a joke it weirds me out a little.

The interpretation of the word date is different. Date is supposed to mean the beginning phase where you talk to and learn about someone before officially starting the relationship. Hopefully for everyone’s safety that’s what it means.
