Save me: I have to get my wisdom teeth taken out and I have a horrible nasty no good crippling fear of needles so my options are to try, to wait, or to sell my soul for CBT ngl considering death 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Slow exposure therapy and or good communication with your dentist/ortho. Also acknowledge potential trauma around this, I was held down at the doctor and it caused my fear of needles, accepting I struggle with feeling safety when needles are present got me started and feeling more in control of the process by telling them to wait, helped me A LOT. You can be in control and able to go at your comfortable pace, communicate these issues beforehand regardless to come up with a plan

Can you ask them to prescribe an anti anxiety pill? Some places will give one benzo or something similar before a procedure

A different benzo may work better. Also how long do you have? If you have time for CBT (which I recommend regardless) you may have time to get on a different anxiety med (assuming you’re anxious in other situations, which we usually are)
