I’m so tired of ppl who claim they’re autistic and then they hate to interact w ppl who were raised around autistic ppl and in an autistic accepting environment. Meaning those ppl who claim autism dislike unmasked autistics who display autistic traits

I don’t understand the emphasis on “claim they’re autistic”. Are they autistic or not? Being an asshole doesn’t demote an autistic person to just a person who “claims they’re autistic”

I’m emphasizing the fact that they only self identify (therefore claim the term) w autism when it’s quirky and fun, but when around ppl who are culturally autistic they distance themselves from the identity of autism

Ah yes for sure! Ive been burned by theseppl so many times thinking itd be safe to be vulnerable around them but then i get the same bad reaction if i have rven the slightest hint of a troubling symptom around them
