I have trouble being corrected because I’m sensitive to what feels like rejection but logically I appreciate the correction and I wouldn’t still say I was right after being corrected

someone just called me dumb when i told them antibacterial soap isn’t necessary and has serious downsides. i can understand not wanting to change something that works for you, sure. but straight up insulting me when i’m right is wild. i do not understand that at all. i love it when people give me information i didnt have before for free

regular soap works by washing away bacteria and it’s all you need in combination with mechanical scrubbing. antibacterial soap contributes to bacterial resistance which is a serious problem

that’s totally understandable. being corrected definitely stings and at the same time i’m thankful someone took the time to give me information they think is important
