I know what love is for friends and family, but how do you differentiate love for a partner? Ive really struggled trying to figure that out and i feel like other non autistic girls explain it as something big or you get this “ feeling.” I dont get it 😐

There’s actually been a lot of discourse about this in the autistic community. Many of us, myself included, feel no differentiation between romantic and platonic love. I have the same feelings towards my best friends as I have for my partner. I know how confusing it can be to try to figure it out, but just know that it’s okay to feel this way💜

I know everyone is different when it comes to this topic, but I feel like I’m supposed to feel something unique and I’m unsure. It makes me worried that I’ll be with someone that I like but don’t love. I don’t know it just freaks me out

Me too. People just say that it’s hard to explain and when you know you know so I’ve decided to wear off of romantic relationship relationships until I feel something that I’ve never felt before. It could take me a month or it could take me 80 years, but I’ve learned to be OK with not waiting around for that feeling
