sometimes i think some women use sensory issues as an excuse to uphold patriarchal standards when it comes to shaving. i'm convinced some of them have never gotten past the poky phase and experienced what it's like to have natural body hair

i don’t shave my legs bc idgaf but i do shave down there because i don’t like the feeling of hair! it’s interesting how different everyone is when they do whatever they actually want

i just can’t focus with the feeling of my leg hair rubbing against my pants/tights, it’s just personal preference!! i also hate shaving so it’s like choosing the once-per-week evil rather than the every day evil :)

Or maybe we just have sensory issues and to hell with the patriarchy, it’s my body and I do what I want with it

of course. i was talking about some women who have not had natural length body hair since they were taught to shave and refer to the discomfort of the poky stage as sensory issues when it can (not for all) be much more comfortable physically to have natural hair, but less comfortable socially. not trying to suggest that i personally have an opinion on wether you do or do not shave
