Boyfriend/partner means intimacy and that’s not limited to physical. Emotional intimacy is even more important in a relationship than physical imo and that means sharing thoughts, opinions, and what’s important in your life. You should get in the practice of being vulnerable if you’re going to call someone a partner. If they betray that vulnerability then they don’t deserve you or the title, but if you want a healthy relationship you do have to give vulnerability.
