i am once again asking how to in touch with friends 😭 i don’t know how to start conversations with people unless we have a shared interest or i have a specific reason to msg them, and i need tips on just casually connecting when you have nothing going on

I’m also terrible at keeping in touch ngl but I feel like keeping it simple and not overthinking it would be best. Just “Hey, been thinking of you and I’m checking in; how are you/how are things?” It’s direct but open ended enough to invite more conversation

I try to send “how’s your day going?” if we haven’t texted in at least 2-3 days

I make routines with people that are most important to me (and open to it). Like one friend I see every Tuesday afternoon. 3 friends and I have a weekly Zoom call (we frequently change the time but the baseline is that it is once a week). For people harder to do that with, I kind of just text them when I remember they exist or if they texted me- this means I can go months or years without texting them though

As for content- I find when talking we get to interesting enough topics and if we don’t we just sit and nod and enjoy the company. If texting- text them something that you think they may find interesting or funny. Like something about your day or interests or something you overheard or read or watched
