I’m learning ASL at home rn after my sibling took classes and this is something I asked her about since we’re both autistic. She had a lot of trouble with it too and didn’t have that many tips unfortunately

Yeah I’m having a huge problem with this rn. It also doesn’t help that I have Tourettes on top of everything else and my tics aren’t helping my ASL

Yes I took two semesters in college and couldn’t get the facial expressions down at all

YES but i practiced a lot and found it’s mostly eyebrows + small things that nts associate with eyebrows but don’t explicitly say. eyebrows up = yes/no or this/that question + you need to widen your eyes and tilt your chin up just a bit. eyebrows down = open ended question + you need to purse your lips and tilt your chin down just a bit
