Genuinely, there is no reason for them to be so rude to you and respond to you in such a rejecting way. I’m sorry OP :( I think that the possibility of the Muppet Show coming back is actually really cool & your interests are meaningful! Some people are just mean.

This happened when I joined a sorority! I was so excited bc I didn’t think they would like me (since I’m neurodivergent) but when I told my one friend they started bashing me for ‘paying for friends’ and being a bad person.
