Can I still give consent? My boyfriend thinks that it doesn’t count because of my disability… I just want him to feel comfortable!

Yes you can. To be able to give consent you just have to be able to fully understand the situation you’re in and have full control over what you decide to do. Also have the power in your relationship to be a part of the decision and easily leave if you want.

You can absolutely still give consent or take it away. Your disability doesn’t take away your ability to want or desire anything. As long as you are aware of the situation you are in and know you can stop it at anytime you can consent

??? If your boyfriend thinks it doesn’t count he needs to ask himself what he’s talking about

If he truly thinks that you are unable to give consent, then just being in a relationship with you should give him pause. You have to consent to be in a relationship just as much as you have to consent to the things that tend to come with it

There’s NOT A SINGLE situation on this planet where you should be revoking ur right to consent! He shouldn’t be comfortable with violating and taking away ur ability to consent. He should want you to be just as into the activity. It should always be an enthusiastically given yes and you should always have control.

120% you can still consent! Consent for anything is mutually wanted, you’re aware of the situation, it’s specific to the situation, only valid in the moment (not an invitation to do things later), free to be removed at any moment, of age, and enthusiastic If you can do all that then you can consent

If you don’t mind sharing, what type of disability is it?

you're in college, right? so long as you can effectively communicate (either verbally or nonverbally), you can give and revoke consent the same as anyone else.
