Hey how do I know if my belly piercing is infected? It’s been about 25 days since I got it done.

If there is redness, itching, swelling, pain or goop around the piercing then those are signs may be infected. Happened to me this first time i got my ears pierced. If it is infected I would seek advice from the piercer. I had to let my ear close and get it redone but also my infection happened a week after piercing

okay. take a thin sharpie or other pen that won’t immediately rub off and trace the red area. keep an eye on it. if the redness grows beyond the circle, go to urgent care.

Like pus or something coming out of it that’s another sign of infection. If there was swelling it could have been from a buildup of that. If its red but dosent hurt just keep an eye on it. if it becomes painful or like hot around the area that could mean an infection is starting
