I always go for complimenting their outfit, asking name, asking for their major, and then when it gets to your turn to comment on your major say that you “actually took this class because-“ and explain your situation and ask “speaking of-“ and ask ab the chat. Then you can ask for their insta if you think they’re cool/find common interests Typically the group me can be found in your school’s community area though!
