felt the same way but a long time ago i realized that the version of womanhood i had in my head was a capitalism induced advertisement that was impossible to achieve and only existed to make me hate myself and try to fit a standard and get rid of my own individual identity. it’s hard when most people you meet buy into the very limited definition of womanhood influenced by capitalism and misogyny whether they know it or not, but you can really define yourself as however you choose, unlimited.
all you can be is yourself. the definition of beauty is so subjective and the one most advertised and impossible to ignore comes with its own pitfalls that aren’t immediately apparent on the outside. you are beautiful in your own way, everyone is. i know you probably think i’m just saying it to be nice or something but that’s not the case. i’ve spent years trying to make myself believe it and i kinda do now but i know how hard and dependent on external validation that thought is to be believed.
i mean beauty usually lies in your own unique traits otherwise it’s not different enough from others to be admired as something novel. that’s why so many conventionally attractive women have their own struggles because society forces us to compare all women based on attractiveness more than any other trait. insecurity isn’t based on nothing which makes it so hard to overcome. i just hate to see others suffer from something that isn’t their fault. you’re more than a superficial judgement.
