Never related to anything more but as an autistic woman DO NOT RELY ON ALCOHOL YOU WILL REGRET IT

I think it makes autistic traits more acceptable, but it does relieve sensory for me

In a way, yes? Like I don’t drink, but when I smoke, I suddenly become entirely nonverbal and just watch music videos of my favorite bands the entire time

I know, I’m trying really hard to be vigilant about recognizing early signs. I wanna at least try to maintain a balance where I can drink occasionally in social situations without it becoming a crutch

I wish more people talked about this bc it’s such a slippery slope

It is, and ngl I do sometimes feel like I’m slipping on the slope. But whenever I feel like that, I just cut back for a while until things feel more controlled

Just be careful and stay safe 🩷 it’s hard but it’s doable
