i just got medically diagnosed with autism, and the doctor confirmed i am in an autistic burnout, and they’re referring me to a therapist who works specifically with autistic patients but do y’all have any advice on getting out of autistic burnout

My main advice is that burnout isn’t solved by doing nothing completely. Yes when I was recovering I spent hours in bed each day but I also did arts and crafts, read, bakes or other things I enjoy. You need to foster joy. Also think of medication

Also remember that sometimes if you feel super unsettled you could be understimulated and then make sure to also look into interception. It was a really big thing that helped me.
