That is not an accurate representation of what happened in Vietnam. Due to people being able to see the devastation of war first hand, public support for the war dried up. Had that not happened North Vietnam would have lost. Similar to the war of 1812, the US did not beat the much larger British military. The British public lost interest in the war due to the napoleonic wars being won so they stopped, had that not happened the US would have lost and we’d probably be part of the UK right now.
