I think a good start for like a simple makeup look could be a little concealer, blush, mascara, and a tinted lip stain/gloss. You can find stuff for cheap at like a cvs or dollar general. I love elf when I want to do simple looks or cover girl to start. But if you want more high end products go to ulta or Sephora:)

Also eyelashes and eyeliner and colorful shadows are fun to mess around with. Oh and highlighter I love highlighter it makes everything so glowy

Makeup brushes are good for blush and concealer, but lowkey before I got my brush I used my fingers for blush and it worked fine. I use my fingers for most things, and if I need precision I kinda hijack an angled paintbrush… tis what you make of it. Don’t be afraid to experiment Tl;dr they’re very helpful but don’t stress about it

I’m a makeup brush person for powder products. But if you are using liquid makeup fingers work well or a makeup sponge!
