it had only been 2.5 weeks since it’s been done and it was over $330 and 8 hours and she bleached my hair then added the color and somehow even on my new growth all natural virgin hair it was various different colors, parts were faded that day, and two days later after one cold wash my hair faded into 4 colors. i sent her photos i told her the day of i wasn’t happy and she sent me messages saying she would fix it etc and she recommends getting it touched up within two weeks so it’s not too faded

then she just told me that actually her policy is to fix it within a certain timeframe but she has no website, nothing in her bio, no policy highlight, nothing stating any policies and she never mentioned it had to be within a certain time or i’d be charged so am i trippin for expecting her to fix it? she’s saying i’m being unreasonable but i feel like she’s being unfair esp bc she knew i was scheduling the correction asap i told her i was going out of state for my birthday that week

yeah that’s fucked of her bc you did everything right. you let her know immediately, which is exactly what you’re supposed to do. you use color safe shampoo right? regardless, like you said it didn’t look right even before you shampooed. it’s not your fault you had birthday plans after you got your hair done, that’s pretty common. if she isn’t in a suite by herself and if she doesn’t agree to do it for free i’d ask to speak to her manager.

yea i use color redistributing shampoo and bio silk color therapy shampoo and conditioner and i shower w cold water. she said i wasn’t happy with the initial color which is true bc it was literally purple and i said i wanted a deep pink slightly on the burgundy side and she said she didn’t charge me for it which i feel is expected bc i never once asked for purple. and then she said no other stylist would’ve even offered to fix it for free in any time frame which isnt true bc another has before

yes it’s completely normal to fix it for free within a week of the service. that’s standard. i do not however understand what color deep pink on the burgundy side is. you showed her pictures of the exact color you wanted?

yes i showed her pictures and told her specifically before she started mixing any color that the way i’d described the color was just the best way that made sense in my head but if the color i said means something different to her than the pictures then to ignore what i said and go solely off the photos. and i showed her multiple photos of all the same girl with the same color in multiple lightings so she could see as much as she could exactly what i wanted

it’s ok, i contacted the shop owner and afterwards my stylists mom (who is also a stylist) whom she shares a salon suite with offered to fix my hair free of charge so all is now well. i just had to double check i wasn’t being unreasonable by expecting that she fix my hair
