Hey! I have a chronic illness, and have some bald spots because of treatments. What’s the best way to possibly regrow that hair or maybe even just cover it up? Please hmu! (M20)

Alternatively if you can’t do that for any reason (illness, allergies, etc) depending on how big the bald spots are you can use wigs (for bigger bald spots) or hair powder (for smaller bald spots). Eyeshadow and scalp concealers/root touch up powders can also work for smaller spots.

I was in a similar boat a few years ago, had a TON of thinning due to stress during the diagnosis phase. I really like the ordinary multi peptide serum, and it’s pretty affordable! If you wanted to invest a bit more, I’ve heard Cecred’s edge and hair growth drops are AMAZING, but they’re nearly 60 dollars so it’s very much about what’s worth it for you!

i’ve heard minoxidil and finasteride are decent. i just try to keep a good shampoo + conditioner, i use the biolage revitalizer. doesn’t hurt that it smells amazing either alternatively, shave that bih and own it..

I have a lot of breakage and a few small spots from stress alopecia, and I found that when you do wash your hair make sure to massage the scalp (fingers are great but a scalp massager works too) to increase blood flow and stimulate the growth.

I’m in the camp of also saying shave it if you like :) you’ll be totally bald for a bit, but it gives you some time to try out different products to see what works without the stress of waiting for the product to work, ya know?

There’s a 3 step shampoo they sell at Sally’s. I know some people that use it and swear by it. I don’t know the name of it but you can go ask or google it.

I was going to also suggest the ordinary scalp serum bc I have heard that it does WONDERS and I am getting some to try it myself! Idk if peptides will be safe or not but it’s worth a shot!

I very much like mine!! & anecdotally it’s pretty safe for my picky ass self (allergy condition) so hopefully it’ll be good on sensitive skin!

I also use vegamour GRO serum after my showers, I like it cause even if I don’t wash my hair it’s not as heavy as some other oil based products so I don’t feel so greasy.

btw i have used nioxin for hair thinning (unknown confirmed reason? likely pcos and stress but it seems to work okay! i only use the shampoo tho so might work better w the whole system. it strongly mint scented too. i’d also recommend making sure ur vit b and d levels r good— vit b based deficiencies can cause issues w hair/skin/nail growth. i also second rosemary oil (as pure as u can get it) and hair massages! sincerely, someone who lost half her hair mass by 23 🥲
